OUR STORY
Julia and Michelle graduated from Kellenberg Memorial High School in June 2015, technically classmates, functionally strangers, connected only by one mutual friend who had no idea what story he was about to create. In Fall 2020, Julia, bored and bold, asked that mutual friend for Michelle's phone number. Mainly confused but also interested in the plot, he gave it to her.
Their first date was at the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn. Michelle – in a shockingly persuasive case – asked to end the night at Ikea, Michelle's favorite place on Earth. By date four, Julia's mom was chauffeuring them to the Broadway Tavern in Malverne. The night escalated into tequila and orange wedge shots in the kitchen at Nassau Boulevard with Julia's dad, because apparently their relationship came with a full parental endorsement since day onee.
They made it official in February 2021. And the rest, as they say, is history, one that started with a DM, an Ikea detour, and a shared hatred of bowties.
